After a long time of online-only happenings, we finally had the chance to get together in Rapperswil again for our workshop on “Personalized HealthTech & 3D Printing“. The diversity of more than 50 participants, ranging from users, researchers to people from the industry, led to a lot of interdisciplinary exchange. Participants were able to meet a lot of new peers while listening to different talks, exchanging ideas in workshops and enjoying a relaxed apero afterwards.

After an introduction talk from the organisers, Silvia Rohner (OST, Leading house of the NTN Innovation Booster User-Centred HealthTech) and Hendrik Holsboer (NTN IBAM), Jürg Kuster guided us through the three main topics of the workshop:

  • Laura Leoty and Neha Sharma deepend our understanding of “3D Printed Implants”,
  • Dr. Maurizio Gullo introduced “Bio & Tissue Printing” and
  • Michel Fornasier spoke about “3D Printed Protheses”.

The different backgrounds from our speakers and thereby various perspectives on the field, widened our horizon about innovative ideas and future possibilities of 3D Printing in combination with Personalized HealthTech.

After these insightful inputs, the participants went into workshop groups to discuss new ideas for innovation in the mentioned topics. Many interesting ideas came up and applications for funding were started right in the room. After a long day of lively discussions, brainstorming and connecting, we enjoyed an apéro at the beautiful “Schloss Rapperswil”.
